HERE
are some basic questions that must be answered,
before you can truly understand the meaning of
scripture in light of the claims made by most
Christian ministers today. These are
questions that scripture alone can answer, and it
does so without confusion and with stunning
clarity, once you get past the major false
assumptions made by translators, interpreters and
would-be but confused bible teachers alike.
The
Difference Between "Night" And
"Day"
In I
John 3:1 a dichotomy is described between "the
world" and the "children of the Almighty Ones."
And the Apostle Yahvhanan (incorrectly:
"John") explained that "the reason the world
does not know us is" because "it did not
know Him" (i.e. the Savior or Messiah).
You will recall, from issue
#1 of The PURE TRUTH Restored, that
the phrase "the Almighty One," in this instance,
refers to "the One and Only who came from the
Father," also known as: "The Word who became
flesh and made His dwelling among us"
(John
1:14, 18; see the article: In
Defense of Inspired Scripture).
The world, or wicked, is
elsewhere represented as being "of the
night" and "of darkness," while the
children of the Almighty One are there called
"the children of the day" and "of the
light" (I
Thessalonians 5:5-10; cf. Luke
16:8; "John"
12:36).
Becoming
Pure
The PURE TRUTH
is aptly named, for the children of the Almighty
One -- who will become like the Savior when He
appears (I
"John" 3:2) -- must first purify themselves
"as He is pure" (verse
3).
But what, exactly, does
becoming pure signify? What does it mean to
purify yourself? Verse
4 gives us the answer: "Everyone who
sins breaks the law; in
fact sin is
lawlessness." The word
"lawlessness" means "having no laws," "disregarding
laws" or being "without the law."
This is the same thing as --
is synonymous with -- what we now call anarchy,
disorder, chaos, and being unregulated, unruly and
criminal.
So even though Paul spoke of
ordinances that were "against us," which were
"taken away" and "nailed to the stake" (Colossians
2:14) -- otherwise assumed to be "the written
code" of the entire "Mosaic law, with all its
regulations, under which everyone is a
debtor..." (NIV Study Bible footnote) -- in
actuality Paul was talking specifically about the
PRE-Mosaic ordinance of
circumcision as it relates to baptism
by the Spirit of truth (see: Colossians
2:11-13).
The Pure
Truth About Sin and the Law
Since sin is clearly defined
as lawlessness, instead of glossing over this fact,
wherever we read about sin -- and thus continuing
to misunderstand the true meaning of sin in the
context of its inspired scriptural definition --
why not try substituting the words "lawless" or
"lawlessness(es)" wherever we find the word sin, to
learn exactly what the Apostles really taught on
this topic?
For instance, here is what Paul
actually intended to say: "In Him you were also
circumcised, in putting off of the
lawless nature, not with the
circumcision done by the hands of men but with the
circumcision done by the Messiah, having been
buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him
through your belief in the power of Yahveh, who
raised Him from the dead. When you were dead
in your lawlessnesses and in
the uncircumcision of your
lawless nature, Yahveh made
you alive with the Messiah. He forgave all
our lawlessnesses, having
canceled the written code, with its
regulations, that was against
us; He took it away, nailing it to the stake"
(Colossians
2:11-14).
Clearly, the "written code,
with its regulations" is something other than the
Law, or else the lawless natures which are also
described as "sinful" would no longer exist, and
there would be no need to repent of sin today!
Beginning with the very next
verse in I "John" 3, therefore, we should read:
"But you know that He [the
Messiah] appeared so that He might take away
lawlessnesses.
And in Him is no
lawlessness" (verse
5).
Further, contrary to what the
"Mosaic law is done away" crowd would have you
believe, you are warned: "No one who lives in
Him continues being lawless.
No one who continues being
lawless has either seen Him or known
Him" (verse
6).
Timeless
Law
The Psalms teach us that:
"Righteous are you, oh
Yahveh, and your laws are
right" (Psalm
119:137), "Your righteousness
is never-ending and
your law is true"
(verse
142), and finally: "Your
statutes are always right; give
me understanding that I may live" (verse
144).
Just so you don't fail to
understand this point, the psalmist went on to
reveal: "Yet you are near, oh Yahveh, and
all your commands are
true. Long ago I learned from
your statutes that
you established them to last
always" (verse
152).
This point seems to have been
lost on modern "bible" interpreters, Christian
ministers of nearly every denomination (and even
non-denomination) and their followers, who all
appear to believe the exact opposite of what these
inspired scriptures actually say!
You are warned about this
very thing, and told to beware those who teach this
apostasy, this heretical departure from the pure
truth: "Dear children, do not let
anyone lead you astray. He who
does what is right is
righteous, just as
He is righteous"
(I
"John" 3:7).
Children
of the False Accuser
The Savior told the wicked
religious leaders of His age that they were "tares"
and "children of the hurtful
[evil] one" (Matthew
13:38), whose "father [is]
the false accuser [slanderer]"
("John"
8:44).
We are also told, by Messiah
Yahvsave, in this context that this selfsame false
accuser ["devil"]: "was a
murderer from the
start, not holding to the
truth, for there is no
truth in him. When he lies,
he speaks his native language, for he
is a liar and the father of
lies" ("John"
8:44).
So, returning to Yahvhanan's
later letter, he tells you just what this means:
"He who does what is
lawless is of
the false accuser, because
the false accuser has been lawless
from the start" (I
"John" 3:8).
Apparently, then, all who
teach that "the law is done away" are in reality
children of the devil (slanderer;
false accuser), according to this crystal-clear
inspired scriptural instruction in
righteousness!
What the
Savior Actually Came to Destroy
To all those who think the
Savior was some sort of rebel who came to destroy
the Law and to supplant the Creator of the "Old
Testament" with His "New Testament," He said:
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the
Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish
them but to fulfill them. I tell you the
truth, until heaven and earth disappear,
not the smallest letter, not even the least stroke
of a pen, will by any means disappear from the
law until everything is
accomplished" (Matthew
5:17-18).
Since we have established
that to do what is right, or righteous, means
obeying this ageless Law, let's try another
substitution for the sake of clarity: "This is
how we know who the children of Yahveh are and who
the children of the false accuser
[devil] are: Anyone who
does not do what is Lawful is not a child of
Yahveh; nor is anyone who does not care
for his brother" (I
John 3:10).
The pure truth of the
matter is that the Father was unknown to those who
wrote the inspired "Old Testament" scriptures, and
the One who is revealed there -- the Creator
Himself -- is none other than He who came as the
Savior and died for your sins and for mine (again
see: In
Defense of Scripture)!
He then revealed the heavenly
Father part of the original, one and only "dynamic
duo" of heaven and earth, as the ultimate source of
His and our Sacred Spirit, who in fact
is the Sacred Spirit personified (not
some third entity in a pagan fiction known as "the
Trinity").
All of these fictions the
true Messiah came to destroy, but
just as with the pagan deception known as
"Christmas," the world has found the allure of such
falsehood far more desirable than the pure
truth, and has refused to abandon these false
and wicked ways until finally forced to do so.
How many more children must
remember the day they began to "grow up" as the
time they discovered their parents' deceit and lies?
How many more generations must live and die
without understanding the pure truth about
sin? The answer is: Not many, if any, more
years remain until these religious delusions all
come crashing down around the heads of the
self-righteous religious hypocrites of this
world.
What the Savior really came to destroy, therefore, is the adversary's lawlessness, and work of teaching people to be lawless -- without the Law of Creator Yahveh -- and not the Law itself (again, see: I
"John" 3:8).
The wages of sin
(lawlessness) is still death (Romans
6:23), and we must all die once because of our
sins, and the penalty of sin that they have
incurred. Of that there can be no doubt.
Woe to you, if you fail to
accept, heed and treasure this pure truth in
your heart, while it may be readily found!
