YES, it's true. And our "food" supplies aren't any better, being full of harmful pesticides, chemical preservatives, unnatural and carcinogenic colorings, "flavorings," sweeteners and fillers, and other adulterations such as unhealthy animal fats, and even tainted with blood from strangled or electrocuted animals. |
HY
does profit or savings always seem to overrule common sense and
responsibility on nearly every front today? For that matter, why does a
caring Creator allow such things to happen, and what exactly can we do
about it?
All of the above is in addition to unhealthy predator and other unclean animal flesh that is unfit for human consumption, due to it being either a blood-eating or usually diseased type of animal (such as pigs, hogs, rabbits, shellfish, catfish, tuna, etc.)
Eating and Drinking Ourselves to Death
Because of these things cancer, heart disease, diabetes and a host of other life-threatening mainly modern ills, ailments, diseases and plagues are swiftly claiming the lives of an alarmingly growing number of people daily.
And we foolishly wonder "why," without bothering to listen to the real reason revealed, thousands of years ago, by the inspired prophets and authors of the scriptures we mainly call "the Bible" today.
Here it is:

"Yahveh said, 'It is because they have forsaken
my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or
followed my law. Instead, they have followed
the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the baalim [false idols], as their fathers taught them.' "Therefore, this is what Yahveh of hosts, the Almighty One of Yasrael, says: "'See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water. I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their fathers have known [i.e. Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, etc.], and I will pursue them with the sword [many wars, terrorism, etc.] until I have destroyed them'" (Jeremiah 9:12-16). |
Now do you understand?
Eventually, when things get really bad, the truly wicked among us will start blaming and accusing their own Creator for all these evils, instead of humbly accepting the responsibility and repenting of their thoughts, words and actions.
These boastful sinners will even shake their fists at heaven in absolute defiance of all that is good and righteous, rather than admit their own ways are evil and wrong:

"This is what Yahveh says: "'Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am Yahveh, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, because in these I delight,' says Yahveh" (Jeremiah 9:23-24). |
This is what true circumcision -- of the heart -- really is:
| "'The days are coming,' says Yahveh, 'when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh -- Egypt, Yavdah, Edovam, Ammon, Mavab, and all who live in the desert in distant places. For all these nations are really uncircumcised, and even the entire house of Yasrael is uncircumcised in heart" (Jeremiah 9:25-26). |
Harming Ourselves to Our Own Shame
Disobedience to the commandments and law of our Creators happens whenever you see all the following:

"'Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and give false
testimony, burn incense to baalim and follow other mighty ones you have
not known, and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears
my name, and say, "We are safe" -- safe to do all these detestable things? "'Has this house [Temple], which bears my name, become a den of robbers [money changers, thieves] to you? But I have been watching!' says Yahveh" (Jeremiah 7:9-11). |
What else are people doing today that is so wrong and evil in our Creators' righteous and perfect eyes? Just this:
| "'If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other mighty ones [false idols] to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers for ever and ever. But look, you are trusting in deceptive words that are worthless'" (Jeremiah 7:5-8). |
What deceptive words are those, other than those of the modern false prophets known as politicians, reporters, news commentators, advertisers, marketers, teachers, professors, and all the ministers of every false and worthless religion:
| "'The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes of bread for the "Queen of Heaven." They pour out drink offerings to other mighty ones [i.e. Bacchus, Nimrod, or "Christ"] to provoke me to anger. But am I the one they are provoking?' says Yahveh. 'Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame?'" (Jeremiah 7:17-19). |
The lost commandment is why all these unlawful things are now commonplace.
This forgotten commandment is the reason why we eat bitter food and drink poisoned water today, and are engaged in many foreign wars -- to our ultimate hurt and destruction.
And what is that commandment?

"This is what Yahveh of hosts, the Almighty One of Yasrael says:
'My anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man and
beast, on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground, and it
will burn and not be quenched.' "This is what Yahveh of hosts, the Almighty One of Yasrael says: 'Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves! [such as BBQs, while true ministers, priests and prophets of Yahveh and their families hunger for want of meat] for when I brought your forefathers out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, but I gave them this command: "'"Obey me, and I will be your Almighty One and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you." "'But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward. From the time your forefathers left Egypt until now, day after day, again and again, I sent you my servants the prophets. But you did not listen to me or pay attention. They were stiff-necked and did more evil than their forefathers'" (Jeremiah 7:20-26). |
Why is "truth" such a tarnished word today? Why are so many so suspicious of it? Simply because:
| "'When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer. "'Therefore, say to them, "This is the nation that has not obeyed Yahveh its Almighty One or responded to correction. Truth has perished; it has vanished from their lips." "'Cut off your hair and throw it away; take up a lament on the barren heights, for Yahveh has rejected and abandoned this generation that is under His wrath'" (Jeremiah 7:27-29). |
Our Guilty Leaders
Exactly who is guilty and responsible for all these evils today?
Look to your leaders; the politicians, judges, lawyers, teachers, news pundits and ministers, to name a few:
| "'Who to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!' says Yahveh [sowing seeds of party division, rebellion and social class].' "Therefore this is what Yahveh, the Almighty One of Yasrael, says to the shepherds who tend my people: "'Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and you have not bestowed care upon them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,' says Yahveh. "'I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,' says Yahveh" (Jeremiah 23:1-4). |
But there are warmongers and news commentators, both in print and broadcast journalism over radio, television and the Internet today, who -- along with false ministers, priests and rabbis -- have led us astray with their evil agendas and perverse notions:

"Concerning the prophets.... 'The land is full of adulterers;
because of the curse the land lies parched and the pastures in the
desert are withered. "'Both prophet and priest are unrighteous; even in my Temple I find their wickedness,' says Yahveh. "'Therefore their path will become slippery; they will be banished to darkness and there they will fall. I will bring disaster on them in the year they are punished,' says Yahveh. "'Among the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: they prophesied by baalim and led my people Yasrael astray. And among the prophets of Yaravsalem I have seen something horrible: they commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his wickedness. They are all like Sodom to me; the people of Yaravsalem are like Gomorrah'" (Jeremiah 23:9, 10-14). |
And what is the end result?

"'Therefore, this is what
Yahveh of hosts says concerning the prophets: "'I will make them eat bitter food and drink poisoned water, because from the prophets of Yaravsalem unrighteousness has spread throughout the land'" (Jeremiah 23:15). |
Meant For Us Also...
Don't think these are mere ancient words about a long past age and people, because they are just as relevant today as they ever were.
The very same Almighty Creator of heaven and earth still exists today, and He hasn't changed His mind in relation to all these things one iota (we are just a different generation, the offspring of our rebellious and wicked forebears, to whom these words were intended as much today as then):
| "'I Yahveh do not change. So you, oh descendants of Ya'acob, are not destroyed. Even since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me [repent], and I will return to you,' says Yahveh of hosts." (Malachi 3:6-7). |
Be sure to read Malachi 3, verses 8 through 12, if you wish to learn exactly how you are expected to return (repent), to begin keeping your Creators' decrees, statutes, commandments and judgments.
