What Is Your Foundation?

OMEN, in general, are mostly afraid of anything that does not conform to whatever custom or tradition they learned in childhood.

     Many are afraid to change away from following or believing such false customs or traditions as those commonly worshipped in this world of religious falsehood.

     Which means they must be more afraid of change (or repentance) than they are afraid of falsehood and error!

     Men, as a whole, tend to follow wherever women lead them in religious beliefs, out of fear of being left and abandoned emotionally and physically.

     Theirs is the greater responsibility, since they generally can more easily admit and follow the truth than can women as a whole. (cf. Ecclesiastes 7:28.)

     But like Adam, who knowingly forsook the truth to follow Eve in her deception, men have abandoned the way of truth, and turned their backs on the spirit that reveals it, for the brief and passing pleasures of conjugal relations.

     Women, as a rule, like to attach themselves to a "rising star," but do not stick with a man until his ascendancy comes.

     Men are more capable of admitting their errors of judgment, often wisely choosing their second wives accordingly, and yet they stubbornly refuse to treat their first wives with mercy, forgiveness, sincerity and unfeigned concern and care.

     How can so many sincere people be so deceived that they are building upon shifting sand rather than the secure rock of true salvation?

     Why are they so blinded to the true nature of the false foundation they have chosen? (Could it have anything to do with the first half of the English word: sincere?)

     Vanity and unwillingness to admit error are two of the chief reasons they refuse to acknowledge the truth.

     But more subtle and persuasive is the fact that they have swallowed, after years of indoctrination through sermons and articles, much scriptural and historical misinformation, propaganda and partial application of scripture by rudimentary, incomplete and incompetent study, and have thus allowed their own deception, having welcomed it with open arms and a mind willing to be deceived.

     Most often, this is true because of mental and spiritual laziness, and unwillingness to thoroughly examine all the facts and scriptures, and really prove all things (I Thessalonians 5:21) as did the faithful Bereans of an earlier age! (Acts 17:11.)

     The Bereans believed the truth because they diligently sought after it with the humble attitude of proving if it was so, rather than trying to disprove it because it disagreed with their present beliefs and therefore is considered untrue, regardless of the facts that are presented to prove it!

Form Without Substance

     As one false minister, whose foundation is not built upon the true facts and every scripture, nevertheless truthfully said:

     "The foundation of repentance is very important! If you don't get that foundation right your building will not stand; the winds of persecution, the storms of strife, false doctrine, temptation, whatever, are going to sweep you aside and you will not enter the Kingdom…"

     Though this person correctly identified the true foundation as: "the foundation of repentance from dead works," he nevertheless utterly failed to correctly identify the dead works of which he is himself totally refusing to repent!

     Such as the false Christian "names" of NO salvation, false traditional sabbaths, and false "works" of men who have rejected the truth and thus are conquered spiritually by divisions, heresies, false prophecies, and other wicked doctrinal causes of offense.

     It is one thing to read what an inspired man of the spirit wrote as scripture, and believe you correctly understand it all, but it is quite another thing to actually be so inspired by the exact same spirit, and to really understand the full intent and underlying spiritual meaning of those scriptures!

Unholy Repentance?

     Often "repentance" is a code word among these fraud apostles for stubbornly adhering to falsehood and refusing utterly to really repent (change) and follow only the truth!

     In such a warped, false "repentance," the true facts and doctrines are seen as errors of judgment, "twisting the scriptures," or as false and contrived.

     Yet, when pressed to give any good reasons for their beliefs, the deceived followers of false "truths" will not put their "facts" and scriptural misquotes to the real test, but without being specific, will say something like:

     "You are incorrect in a number of scriptural areas!"

     Or else they will attack with a full frontal assault, claiming the bearer of truth has said what they never said, tearing their facts and proofs -- along with the scriptures -- totally out of context, and building a “straw man” to knock over with their perversely twisted, false arguments, out-of-context scriptures, and blatantly antagonistic accusations and even slanders and libels, rather than ever honestly and openly debating all the facts personally.

     They thus "prove" they were "right" all along -- and have no need to repent -- and that the actual truth is merely some "new heresy" everyone must diligently avoid!

The Plain Falsehood!

     These pseudo-ministers often dismiss the facts with only a cursory examination, or none at all, assuming that their beliefs and practices either are "true" because they are held as sacrosanct by religious tradition, or that they have been thoroughly proven enough already so as to supposedly be above suspicion or reproach.

     And so in this manner they deceive both themselves and anyone foolish enough to listen to them uncritically, without doing their own homework and actively seeking to prove if the facts and scriptures being taught truly support what they are claiming to be the "plain truth."

     Of course, this is a contradictory belief, for how can the "truth" be so "plain" and yet only a tiny handful of people ever acknowledge it to be the truth?

     This is an oxymoron! If the chosen elect really are but few in number (Matthew 7:14, Luke 13:24), the real way of truth can't be so plain or obvious!

Spiritual Repentance Quiz

     It is self-righteousness that causes anyone to argue against the truth without putting it to the real test and proving the facts.

     And the church members of these self-proclaimed "teachers of truth" come by this self-righteousness naturally, having learned it by the examples being set by their false leaders or ministers.

     What is the true foundation of repentance that most are missing entirely today, other than the PURE TRUTH?

     For those who believe otherwise, you are encouraged to honestly answer the following vital questions:

     Have you ever sinned? (Will you die? "The wages of sin is death;" Romans 6:23.) Is it still possible for you to sin? Could you be sinning right now, and yet ignorantly believe you are not?

     Have you ever called the truth "a lie" and disbelieved it? Is it possible you could be doing so right now? Have you ever thought of error and falsehood as "the truth" and were reluctant to abandon it?

     Could you be doing so now, because you have failed to listen to the one who has actually been sent to expose this sin of yours, who commands you to repent of it, and change to follow only the pure truth?

     If you have confidently answered "no" to any of these questions, it is almost beyond doubt or dispute that you are still very much sold into slavery to sin, and have yet to truly repent at all!

The Fruits of False Repentance

     False repentance, and false baptism in the equally false names of Christianity, are epidemic in our modern deceived world. Is it any wonder then that so many of those who have at first accepted the false "plain truth" have later turned away from it in disgust, revulsion, or with hatred, utter animosity, acrimony and much bitterness?

     Are these the fruits of righteousness, or of error and falsehood instead? But of those who still steadfastly hold to their false faith or belief in this divided and divisive error, will their stubbornness finally succeed in gaining them the salvation they supposedly are seeking with all their hearts?

     Even as they refuse to repent of doing what is right in their own eyes (see: Deuteronomy 12:8, Judges 17:6, 21:25.) -- the fact that there are so many groups refusing to admit that their various and sundry different religious beliefs are the least bit in error proves that this is precisely what they are ALL doing -- they are likewise failing to pursue after and find true repentance and real salvation!

     (Even as they often quote the scripture that applies more to themselves than they care to admit or realize: "There is a way that seems RIGHT to a man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death!" Proverbs 14:12 & 16:25.)

     What a shame! This is a travesty of true salvation!!!

     Who are you going to listen to and follow? A bunch of men who began their "preaching" when they were still youths (cf. I Timothy 3:6) who, to hear them tell it, have never yet been wrong about anything important?

     Or will you allow women to usurp the authority over an inspired man, to "preach" what is "right" in their own eyes? (cf. I Corinthians 14:34-35, Ephesians 5:22-24 & I Timothy 2:11-15.)

     All of these errors, and worse, have slowly and certainly supplanted even what little truth people have held down through the false Christian ages!

     These are the false foundations of sand, and not the real way of truth that is based on the only true Savior Yahvsave!

The Choice Is Before You!

     Isn't it time you thoroughly examined your foundation, to determine if it will hold the religious house you have built when the really bad times finally strike?

     Unless you do this soon, you may find yourself among those who stand without, weeping and gnashing their teeth, seeing those they despised as "heretics" inherit the Kingdom, while they -- who supposed vainly that they were assured of salvation  -- are cast out into utter darkness of destruction for ever, with no further hope of resurrection!

     Remember always that your salvation is a personal thing between you and your Almighty Sovereign Creator Yahveh, and no man on this earth has any business trying to deny your right to follow only the truth, rather than errant men and women.

     However, never neglect to humbly listen to those who speak in complete inspiration of the spiritual things you must hear --  even though they may seem hard to bear --  who will honestly tell you where and how you need to repent to acknowledge and follow only the pure truth.

     To do this faithfully, you must first ask yourself the vital questions covered in this article concerning your foundation.

     Are you really following true religion, undefiled by falsehood and error, or are you sold into slavery to heresy and total apostasy? (II Peter 2:19.)

     Only YOU can determine which it is, and only you can decide where you will stand in the coming Kingdom!

Where Do You Go From Here?

     Will you follow someone religiously, worshiping their every evil word and pompous pronouncement as "truth?"

     Or will you carefully pick your way free from all the deception and falsehood by listening to the only voice of truth that is presently proclaiming true salvation in this wicked age?

     The choice is now -- as indeed it always has been -- firmly in your own hands. You won't have anyone else to blame if you make the wrong choice!

     It is your responsibility to find out what is the right course and to pursue it with fervent determination and dedication.

     But always in humility, meekly seeking to learn where and how you are sinning still, regardless of the source of revelation, since Yahveh often does His will through some of the most unlikely sources.
