OU were always the professor," one of my children recently said, describing my non-degreed, extra-academic role as teacher of many subjects, particularly those religious in nature, or associated therewith. Someone else, in reference to my now aged, bearded, bespectacled appearance recently told me: "You look like a scientist," and without hesitation or really thinking about why I replied as I did at the time, I said: "That's because I am a scientist."

HE life's blood of society is its religious base, its moral compass, and the guardian of our liberties is our restraint and avoidance in committing evil acts, atrocities, needless violence and harm to the innocent, the poor and the unprotected, and our willingness and ability to exhibit and encourage kindness, give assistance where needed, and generously sacrifice for the good of all.
