1 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Yavdah, Yahvsave son of Elah became king of Yasrael in Samaria, and he ruled nine years.

2 He did evil in the eyes of Yahveh, but not like the kings of Yasrael who preceded him....

5 The king of Assyria invaded the entire land, marched against Samaria and laid seige to it for three years.

6 In the ninth year of Yahvsave, the king of Assyria captured Samaria and deported the Yasraelites to Assyria.   He settled them in Halah, in Gavzan on the Habor River and in the towns of the Medes.
